On July 5, Members of MRD competed at the Canada Cup in Bromont, QC. The grueling, world-cup course was made all the more challenging by the rain which soaked the course for much of the week leading up to the race, and on the morning of the race itself. However, the riders mounted up some mud tires, and let 'em have it!
In the 10am start, Codey May rode to a strong 5th place finish in Sr. Sport Men, while Erin Wood placed 7th.
In the 2:30 start, 4 riders took to the line. Davis Ross, racing on his singlespeed, had arguably his best race of the season, finishing in 11th place in Cadet Men. In the 50-59 Expert Men, Dale Wood competed well in his first race in Quebec to finish in 7th place. In Sr. Expert men, flat tires were the order of the day. Lee Symmes suffered a puncture on the first lap, and Thomas Wood climbed through the field to 2nd position on his singlespeed, before suffering a flat himself. However, he remounted and managed a 7th place for the day.
